Sunday, October 20, 2019 Basket & Bike takes you on a beautiful excursion around Mount Ida Farm and Vineyard. Biking along private roads enjoy a leisurely ride that befits a Sunday afternoon in October near picturesque Charlottesville. Situated on the Hardware River, a tributary of the James River, Mount Ida Reserve’s newly opened Tasting Room is your starting point. With only 16 spots available our bike excursion will explore the exquisite scenery for a 1.5 hr journey that will end as an open-air Army vehicle whisks you back up the hill to the Mount Ida Reserve Tasting Room and Taphouse for a flight of wine, included in the price. Stay for dinner (optional) and watch the sun sent over the Blue Ridge Mountains. Won’t you come and experience the beauty of Virginia with us during this exciting year in which Virginia is for Lovers turns 50!

On October 20, this afternoon excursion in the mountains is a chance for us to ride, savor, and connect with our own rhythms as Virginia begins preparing for the beauty of fall.  It will be a day of adventure and awe, witnessing mountain views complete with snacks in your basket, and a complimentary flight of wine on the Tasting Room Terrace while you watch the sunset behind the Blue Ridge.  Stay for dinner and cozy up by the outdoor fireplace.
